Dr. Marc Waki attended UCLA for both of his undergraduate and graduate studies, receiving his BA in Chemical Engineering in 1982 and his DDS at the School of Dentistry in 1986. After UCLA, he completed a one-year hospital residency at the Palo Alto, Veteran Administration Medical Center, and a two-year periodontal residency at the West Los Angeles, Veteran Administration Medical Center.
He has taught at the UCLA School of Dentistry, and the West Los Angeles Dental Hygiene program. He has also been the team leader of various study clubs for the past ten years. Topics range from dental implants, comprehensive, esthetic, and complex dental treatment, and multi-disciplinary treatment planning.
Dr. Waki is currently a member of the Straumann Dental Implant Chairmens Club/Platinum Level, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the California Society of Periodontology, and the American Academy of Periodontology. Besides holding a license in California for practicing dentistry, he also holds a license for IV conscious sedation. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, staying in shape, taking his annual vacation to the national parks, and spending time with his family.
